Facilities La Porte Valette chambres d'hotes has two double rooms, one of these has a single bed in so a child could be accommodated as well and one family room all with private en suite bathrooms and all fully heated. The family room can accommodate up to six people as there are two double beds and two single beds and has a kitchenette with basic microwave, kettle and coffee maker. An elegant dining room and lounge with original features including open fireplaces and vaulted ceilings are for clients use and where breakfast and evening meals are served. A further period family room is due for completion during the 2012 season. There is a balcony and courtyard for the use of the guests.
Continental breakfast consisting of orange/apple juice, yogurts, cereals, fresh bread and croissants with home made jams is included within the price of the room, cooked breakfast also available on request at a cost of 9€. Evening meals to be booked in advance if possible and price includes half a bottle of wine per person, although there is always a meal available if required with everything being cooked fresh. We try to accommodate people if they prefer regional food but meals are a mix of French, English and South African so please be prepared to try something different. French and English television reception is available with a wide variety of dvd's in the lounge as well as plenty of puzzles, games and books. During the winter months these rooms are heated by wood burning stoves.
Tea, coffee and snacks are available if required during the evenings in the kitchen. The kitchen can also be used by parents to make bottles for infants at any time. Laundry facilities available. Wi-Fi facilities available free of charge. We also have a vehicle available to drop walkers off at strategic points around Entraygues if required and can provide a packed lunch. Secure parking available for cyclists and motor bikes, we also have washing facilities for the bikes and are hoping to have a drying room available by the end of the summer 2012. Well behaved pets allowed.
Please note that the property has a NO SMOKING policy. You may smoke in the courtyard but please no leaning out of bedroom windows smoking as the smell still gets into the rooms. This policy is not just for ourselves but for all guests staying and we thank you for your understanding.
